POPPY APPEAL 2003

The Royal British Legion: providing financial, social and emotional support to those who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. Your donations allow this vital work to continue.
This year’s house to house collections commence on Saturday 25th October and many of you will be visited by the familiar face of one of the Poppy Appeal volunteer collectors. A two minute silence will be observed at the Lympstone cenotaph at 11 o'clock, Tuesday 11th November. We are the custodians of Remembrance.  Thank you for your support.

LYMPSTONE GARDEN CLUB

This year’s flower show turned out to be one of the most successful ever held in recent years in terms of entries and attendance. This was partly due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the committee but mostly because of the excellent support from the villagers.

We have a series of illustrated talks and demonstrations coming up next year and I hope you will find them as popular and interesting as the show.

Our A.G.M is on the 12th of November and includes a talk given by the Devon Gardens Trust conservation officer, everyone is welcome and there will be an opportunity for those who wish to join the committee. A.G.M. Wednesday 12th.  November – entrance free

Other events to look out for include -

Afternoon - Herbs for Health, Home and Happiness, 11 Feb  2004

Evening - Victorian Garden Restoration,  28 April 2004
