LYMPSTONE PARISH COUNCIL
HERALD NOTES
HERALD NOTES – OCTOBER 2003
NEW CLERK
As many people will know I have resigned as Clerk to the Parish Council. After eight enjoyable years as Clerk the time has come for a change and, as they say, I am seeking alternative employment. I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to my family and friends and to everyone who has supported me during my time as Clerk.
The Parish Council has appointed a new Clerk, Mr Roger Smith, 4 Linden Lea, 70 Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth, EX8 3AE; Telephone 01395 267871. Roger will be taking over from me at the end of October and I wish him and the Parish Council every success in the future.
PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY
Sadly Sarah Humphrey has resigned as a parish councillor because she has moved out of the area. We thank Sarah for her valued contributions and wish her well in her new home. This leaves a vacancy on the Parish Council. Ten electors have not written to EDDC requesting an election, therefore the members will fill the vacancy by co-option. If you would like to know more about the important role of a parish councillor please speak to the Chairman, Richard Eastley, any other councillor, or to me. If you would like to be considered as a candidate please write to Roger Smith.
THE HERALD
In November the Parish Council will review the Lympstone Herald which it has sponsored since it began more than 20 years ago. If you have any comments about what you would like to see in the Herald please let me know.
Members are very grateful to Chris Carter who continues to edit the Herald on behalf of the Parish Council.
Sally Harradine
Clerk 275130
