TWO WARNINGS FROM YOUR PARISH COUNCIL
WARNING 1
RIP-OFF PHONE-CALLS SCAM
Do not be fooled if you get a call saying that all you have to do to claim a prize is to press a number. If you do you will become liable for a very expensive phone call (tens of pounds for every minute you are connected!). Just replace the receiver and ignore the message.
WARNING 2
DIRTY DOG OWNERS
Candys field is being fouled by dogs almost daily. This is a playground for young children and a playing field for slightly older ones. Do not let your dog foul it. All dogs should be on leads. If they do drop one then PICK IT UP, please. Action is being taken to reinforce this message (see elsewhere).
HAVE YOUR SAY ON COUNCIL TAX REFORM
Devon people can have their say on whether paying for local government services should be reformed. Special pages on Devon County Council’s awarding winning website give the public the opportunity to log on and have their say about one of the most contentious domestic issues of the day.
