LYMPSTONE PARISH COUNCIL

HERALD NOTES – May 2004

New Waiting Restrictions for Lympstone

Devon County Council is currently advertising new waiting restrictions for the village.  You will see the formal adverts either in the notice boards or on the lamp columns shortly.

Basically the new measures include:  Extra ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ at the junction of Meadow View and Meadow Close; Church Road opposite the Church to School Hill and then both sides from School Hill to the Strand and further along to Sowden Lane; the School side of School Hill; and Chapel Lane to Underhill as far as Underhill Crescent.  There will also be ‘No Waiting 8.00am – 6.00pm, Mon - Saturdays on School Hill.  The list is not exhaustive.  Look out for the notices and ask for details if you are not sure.

The proposals have come about after much consultation.  Devon County Council say this is the only chance to put the Restrictions in place.  There is a ‘stop’ on advertising any new schemes as they do not have the funds to meet the cost.
