MEETING 7th Feb

The meeting started half and hour early to allow for a presentation by a member of EDDC’s staff on Housing Gain. Discussion on Affordable Housing took a further half hour

Other speakers included Mr S Penny of the police (no crime in Lympstone for the second consecutive month), our District Councillor (who was not very positive on our chances of keeping our Public Conveniences) and our County Councillor, who thought that Lympstone would hardly be affected by the probable reorganisation of the Fire Brigade.

A new leader for the Youth Club is to be selected at a meeting on the 11th of February from a short list of four.

The Lympstone precept for 2005/6 was agreed (there had been a lot of discussion at previous meeting) at a small increase. No allowance was made for possible expenditure on the Public Conveniences.

NEW COUNCILLOR

After a quick ballot – there were three possible candidates  - Jane Moffatt was co-opted onto the Council.  Jane has an excellent track record in fund raising for both the Pre-School and Children@Play group.
