BEATING THE BOUNDS With about sixty people walking the full distance around Lympstone – including a boat ride (thanks lads) along the water boundary in many cases – this four yearly event was a great success. Thanks go to Robert Harrison and his helpers for taking over the organisational duties from Mick Cornish who successfully ran this event five times from 1982 until 2000. (Pictures on web site. This is an organisation which looks after pets for elderly people, when through ill-health they are no longer able to do so. This year the W.I. will be celebrating its 85th.birthday, and to commemorate this members provided and arranged the flowers in the Church at the end of August. Members also attended the Morning Service on the Sunday. The W.I. provided teas and cakes for the Furry Dance Fete in Candy's Field and members also served cream teas on the afternoon of the Church Tower Opening. The next meeting will be on October 7th.
