ITEMS OF NOTE From the Parish Council Meeting on 5^th of June

 There is a vacancy on the Parish Council, caused by the resignation of Nick Millington.  Anyone who is interested in joining the Parish Council should contact a Parish Councillor or the Clerk.

Agendas for all Parish Council and Planning Committee meetings are advertised on the six Parish Council notice boards.  The Clerk is also willing to email agendas to anyone in the Parish who is interested.  Please let him have your email and address details.

You may have noticed that the grass in Avenue Field is longer than usual this year.  At the request of a local resident, the Parish Council agreed to delay cutting until wild flowers had set their seed.  In future, the grass will not be cut until after the 22nd June each year.  The Parish Council hopes that this will develop into an attractive meadow and will not spoil the enjoyment of the field.  It is known to be a place for exercising dogs.  The Parish Council asks that all dog walkers act responsibly and clear up after their dogs so that the field is safe for all users.

Police Report

Reported in the last month were – a credit card fraud, theft of lamps from gardens, a car damaged and a forced entry to an empty property.

 If you see anything, or know of anyone involved in continually kicking down the fence of the newly installed toddler play area on Candy’s Field, please contact Julia McCracken (in confidence) on 269116 or the police.
