ITEMS OF NOTE From the Parish Council Meeting April Exe Estuary Cycle / Walk Way The risk of accidents as pedestrians and cyclists leave the Cycle/ Walk Way is always part of the discussion at Parish Council meetings. The cycle way is an excellent facility for Lympstone and we need to make sure that it is safe for everyone. If you suffer an accident or see one, please let your local Councillor have the details. This will help identify the blackspots so that improvements can be made. Flood Boards The flood boards are a second line of defence in case the Flood gates have a problem. A new storage place is needed, preferably somewhere close to the floodgates. If you think you can offer some help please contact Cllr Miles Freeman, he has the details. Tel 264909. Lympstone Parish Cemetery The Parish Council has accepted a tender for a new footpath in the cemetery. This will form a 'square' route around the first section and will be a great benefit to families whose loved ones rest there. Cllr Peter Acca also was very pleased to report that the son of a local resident had given a large donation towards the upkeep of the cemetery. The Parish Council is very grateful for this and it will be put to good use. Candy's Field Play Area County Councillor Bernard Hughes has kindly given a donation to fund the cost of a tarmac footpath through the play area. This will be a great help to parents. The footpath will link into the improved footpath around the western side of candy's field from the Youth club to the school.
