Lympstone's Clubs, Societies and Groups

Lympstone School Parents’, Teachers’ and Friends’ Association (PTFA)

The aim of Lympstone Primary School PTFA is to help improve each and every child’s experience of the village school.

We do this by organising social events and running fundraising activities that help buy either equipment or experiences that the school cannot provide with its government funding.

Last year PTFA funds helped build the ‘Performance Garden’, which is situated in the bottom playground. The site has been transformed from a once shabby, unloved area to a fantastic place for children to put on plays, sit quietly or entertain their peer groups.

This year (2010/2011), rather than using money raised to support a large project, we aim to subsidise school trips and help the school with other, smaller projects that will crop up throughout the year.

In order to achieve this, the PTFA needs your help. We need your ideas and thoughts on what events to run; where money raised should be spent and most importantly, we need your enthusiasm and support for the events we do run.

If you have any ideas, or simply want to meet new people and have a cup of tea, then please come along to one of our meetings.

I look forward to seeing you there.
