We are an enthusiastic group of people interested in things French who hold several enjoyable social events during the year in our Village such as:
January Après Noël: dispel the post-Christmas blues with a social supper

February: Social & AGM

April: Twinners’ Tuck-in guess what?

May: Twinning Weekend – some members visit or host friends from our twin village Biéville-Beuville in Normandy, very near Caen in alternate years for a weekend

July: Bastille Day garden party

August: Barbecue at Pretty Corner to watch the Furry Dance

October: ‘Allo ‘Allo in 2010 Village Hall fundraising

November: Jazz Brunch – full English breakfast to live Trad Jazz

As you can see, we enjoy socialising, eating & drinking!

But what about the May twinning events? Some Members, in even years, host our French friends for a weekend, whilst in odd years, we travel there. Needless to say, these activities also involve socialising, eating & drinking! No worries about not speaking French either, many have managed without for years!

The aims of the Association are to promote friendship between our two communities & to encourage & support families with youngsters to experience the excitement of having French friends. Such friendships can last a lifetime.
