Annual Curry Lunch – Sunday 28th October from 12.30pm
It is one of the most sociable and enjoyable events in the Lympstone calendar, and guests are invited to arrive at the Village Hall at 12.30pm, and take refreshments at the bar, in time for the 1pm serving.
As usual, the spiciest cooks in Lympstone are seeking out old colonial recipes, and will serve up a selection of meat and vegetable curries, delicious dal, crispy poppadums, a variety of accompaniments, basmati rice, and cooling desserts.
The popular Curryfest helps to raise funds for the Friends of the Church, who contribute to the cost of maintaining this ancient and beautiful building with its mediaeval tower.
Tickets (still at only £10 for adults and £5 for children under 13) must be booked in advance from Demelza, 2 Brookfield Cottages, Lympstone EX8 5ES, tel. 01395 272 243, or by posting money through her door.
