Emergency Plan meeting – flooding

February 23, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Meeting, Thursday 23 Feb, 7.30 to 8.30 in the committee room of the Village Hall

The Village Emergency Plan Group – This group’s objective is to assist during and after an emergency and the existing plan has been updated to prioritise flooding, which is perceived to be the most likely risk that the village faces. As a result of this group’s work, sandbags and other flood relief aids have been provided in the lower village and we are now keen to find a location for a similar resource for the Pretty Corner/Longmeadow Road area together with ‘inland flood wardens’ who will assist in coordinating efforts to mitigate the impact of flooding.

To this end, Cllr Phil Corcos has organised a meeting on Thursday 23 Feb, 7.30 to 8.30 in the committee room of the Village Hall. Anyone with an interest, or who is willing to volunteer would be very welcome.
