FRIDAY FILM: The Fallen Idol (UK 1948) (Plus talk by Martin Fisher – see below)
The first collaboration between Graham Greene and director Carol Reed starred Ralph Richardson in this wonderfully atmospheric thriller, shot in post-war London. They went on to make The Third Man.
Pre-Interval Illustrated Talk by Martin Fisher – Martin follows his acclaimed talks on Hollywood with insights into what made the golden age of British film so memorable and successful. Each talk will start at the usual time of 7:30pm and form the pre-interval session of our March and April screenings. Free to members; included in admission if you pay at the door.
Films start at 7:30pm (doors open at 6:45pm)
