Lympstone Entertainments invite you to BEETHOVEN’S QUARTET JOURNEY

In this unique opportunity for West Country audiences the acclaimed Dante String Quartet will perform the entire cycle. introduced by actor David Timson as Beethoven in Lympstone Parish Church in six concerts on 5th, 6th and 7th May and 2nd, 3rd and 4th June 2017.

Follow Beethoven’s personal and musical journey through his 17 string quartets in the course of 6 days, over two summer weekends. Enjoy ‘playing of spellbinding atmosphere’ as the BBC Music Magazine said of Dante Quartet, in what our old friends the Bridge Quartet described as ‘the best church acoustic we have played in.’

Actor David Timson, as Beethoven himself, will guide you through his life and music in the composer’s own revealing words. The concert series can be dipped into or enjoyed complete, giving the listener a deeper understanding of Beethoven’s music and his extraordinary personal journey.
