An information event is being held for young people who might be interested in joining Lympstone’s Scout Group.

With four sections spanning ages 6-15 years and opportunity to progress to an Explorer Scout Unit, the Scout Movement provides opportunities for young people to experience a wide range of activities and challenges and to develop abilities and self-confidence.

Although supported at district, county and national level, local support has always been the key to a vibrant and active group and to this end interested parents and prospective supporters would be most welcome.

Refreshments will be available along with some “hands-on” activities, static displays, a wealth of information and experienced leaders to answer those tricky questions.

In recent years some Lympstone Scouts have been national sailing champions, representatives at the World Gathering in Chile, mega fundraisers for Children in Need, deep-sea sailors, competition winners, and taken part in a wide range of activities.

To find out more, you need to be at Lympstone Youth Club headquarters, behind the village hall in Candy’s Field, on Saturday July 16th, between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
