Easter events at Lympstone Church

The Morning Praise service welcomes all ages to breakfast. It continues to draw the largest congregation of the month. It takes place on the third Sunday of each month.

This month it falls on Palm Sunday (17th) and we will gather at the Scout Hut for breakfast at the earlier time of 9 am followed by a walk of faith to the church from Cliff Field to receive Holy Communion at the service in church.

The week of events leading up to our Easter celebration continues with:

Monday – 7.30 p.m. Stations of the Cross with music

Wednesday – 7.30pm Taize style service with music.

Thursday – 7.30pm Holy Communion Service and Stripping of the altars. There follows a peaceful watch (20 minute slots) until 10.00pm.

Good Friday (21st) – 11.00am, Passion Story of Christ’s crucifixion.

The events of Good Friday are re-enacted by children from the village in church, a very moving service.

Saturday – 7.30pm – Festival of Light.

Sunday (23rd) 9.30am, Easter Day Service – Holy Communion – Christ is Risen.

You will receive a warm welcome to any of these services.
