Voting in March and May

Voting in March and May

You are probably aware that the country goes to the polls for the General Election, as well as to elect representatives for all of Devon’s parish and town councils, in May this year, but did you know that registered voters can also have their say on the referendum on the Lympstone Neighbourhood Plan on the 26th March?

You can make sure that you can have your say in the Lympstone Neighbourhood Plan Referendum, as well as about who represents you in your local parish, district and county council, in the UK Parliament and in Europe, by registering to vote.  Up to now, the head of a household has been responsible for registering everyone who lives at their address.  Now it is up to the individual.  You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote, or download a form and register by post.
