Cycle path safety audit – update

Cycle path safety audit – update

As has been reported, Devon County Council (DCC) is carrying out a safety audit on the Exe Estuary Trail in Lympstone.  Following the distribution of a small flyer, to collect our views and experiences, a report has been compiled and forwarded to Devon County Council.

Comments are still being collected and will also be forwarded to DCC at a later date and may be made either by email to cyclewaysafety@sky.com or by writing comments in books held in Shears Cafe or The Swan Inn and, shortly, the Post Office.

In particular information is being sought about:

– details of any accidents, incidents or near misses that have occurred

– specific concerns we, as residents of the village, may have

– suggestions for improvement.

Please take a moment to follow the links below and to make your comments.

Further information about the cycle path is available on the web site   Click Here .   This covers the start of a village campaign to get something done – initially there will be a Parish Council meeting on 17th October at 7.30pm in the Committee Room at the Village Hall to discuss the cycle path and, in particular, safety issues.  Love it or hate it – please come along and have your say.
