Lympstone Entertainments news

Great news for all who enjoyed The Magnets’ late night show at the Swan Inn last September, and for those who regretted missing it – the six-man sound machine is coming back!

The group delivers professional a capella musical entertainment of a most exciting order. The Magnets are, according to the Guardian, “a sonic phenomenon you have to see and hear to believe”.

You can do just that at the Swan Inn at 11pm on Thursday 22nd September. Tickets cost £5 and are on sale at the Post Office, or by ringing 01395 263928.

We’d like to pass on the thanks of the producers of Smuggler’s Gold to the Lympstone Fishery & Harbour Board for permission to put on their show on the slipway. The setting certainly added greatly to the pleasure for the 150 or so of all ages who were enthralled by this eco-adventure story. This was the last performance of the tour and, played out as the sun glinted on the incoming tide. It was a memorable event indeed for everyone on either side of the non-existent curtain!
