Lympstone History Society Project

Lympstone History Society Project

I live here!  Have your photograph taken outside your home….

For the Jubilee Year, a group of Lympstone photographers would like to photograph you standing in front of your home. This visual record of who lives where in 2012 will be available to future generations and local historians. It will provide a picture of the village at a particular moment, in the year of the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. Imagine if we had a similar record from Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897!

We need you to volunteer, and then one of our photographers will arrange a convenient time with you and your family. If you would like to be recorded for posterity, here is your chance.

The photographs will be taken on digital cameras, and will be held as an archive by Lympstone History Society. We shall of course display them during the Jubilee Year.

But the first task is to take the pictures. To be part of this Jubilee community portrait, please contact me on 01395 277007 or johngc66@gmail.com. If you would prefer, you can fill in a form at the Post Office.
