Staff and parents of Lympstone preschool joined forces on London Marathon weekend to complete their own local sponsored marathon event!
16 ladies walked and/or ran full and half marathon distances from the swan to cockwood and back again along the cycle path route to raise money for the general fundraising target of the preschool.
Welcomed home to a fantastic spread and celebratory bubbles courtesy of Amy and Matt at the Swan and cheered to the finish line by family and friends, the team beat personal bests in both time and distance! A fantastic achievement for all with the whole marathon event being completed in full within 9 hours! Huge thanks to all 12 walkers and 4 runners for an amazing effort, to all our generous sponsors and to Barclays for their support in £for£ matching! A whopping grand total of £2700 was raised! Awesome community effort! Thank you all so much!
