Lympstone School

The theme for our school this term is ‘Time Detectives’. Different classes will focus on archaeology, Egyptology and dinosaurs. It promises to be a wonderfully exciting topic developing and practising skills in Science, Art, Design, History and Geography and will include trips to the recently reopened museum in Exeter.

We are also signed up this term to take part in area dance festivals, swimming galas and aqua skills sessions. We will be entering teams in the area tag rugby festival, the cross country festival and the indoor athletics tournament too. Looks like being a very sporty term! Towards the end of this term our older children will also be participating in our annual residential week on Dartmoor.

Many families and friends of the school rightly commented on the high standard of singing in the church at the end of last term. Thank you. We plan to build upon our music this term and perform a recital in the church next month featuring our choirs, individual performances on guitar, clarinet and piano together with an ensemble of 28 nine-year olds playing the flute!

…..We’ll try to fit in a bit of Reading, Writing and Maths as well!
