Beavers have been busy over Christmas helping to raise money for their group.

The Scout Christmas Post saw Beavers and their parents delivering mail from Exeter and district all over the village.

Leaders also arranged deliveries in Exton, Ebford, Woodbury, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and as far as Newton Poppleford. The post raised just over £60 for group funds.

On New Year’s Day the Beaver parents organised a warm mulled wine and mince pie stall at the boat shelter for swimmers to warm their cockles.

Visitors and swimmers were very generous and the event raised £100.

The group wishes to thank all those who gave and all those Beaver parents who have helped out over the Christmas holiday.

The Group AGM is being held on Wednesday, January 11 at 7pm in the Scout HQ. The group is hoping to start a Cub Pack shortly.
