Music for children

Music for children

Musical Steps has started in Exeter and in Woodbury. It offers real musical expertise to babies and toddlers, helping children learn to co-operate, take turns, share, create, listen, communicate, and grow in confidence in a fun and musical way. It also develops their musical awareness and ability which will prepare them for further musical activities when they are older.

Music teacher, Kate Butterworth, is starting classes at: St Leonards Church Hall, Roberts Road, EX2 4HD on Wednesday mornings – Toddler Troupe (18 months to 3 years) at 9.30am and Baby Band (4 months to 2 years) at 10.30am, and at Woodbury Village Hall – Toddler Troupe on Thursdays at 2pm and Baby Band on Fridays at 2pm.

Visit the website www.musicalsteps.co.uk to book a place, or just come and try it out with a free trial lesson. The children enjoy plenty of music and movement with puppets, pictures, feathers, balls and bubbles as well as percussion instruments to bang, scrape or ting.
