Nautical theme at Lympstone School

As term started we welcomed over 30 new children and several new members of staff. We now have 187 children and 33 members of staff (the majority of whom are part-time staff supporting the inclusion of 11 delightful children with complex special needs). A very busy little organisation!

Regular readers will know that we are a school committed to giving our children the richest of experiences and already this term an appropriate nautical theme is to the fore with trips to Portsmouth, HMS Victory and the Golden Hind in Brixham. Year Six children are now almost half way through a series of sailing lessons too.

Our sporty theme continues with athletics clubs being ‘run’ by Mrs Jones and Mr Musgrove and the netball club organised by Miss Norton. For the first (and probably only) time we have a pursuit cycling team that finished third in the primary school Tour of Britain races in Exmouth. A big ‘well done’ to Ben Daffin, Fern Acheson, Max Batson and Joel Hayes who represented the school.
