Olympic torch coming to Lympstone!

A replica of the 1948 Olympic Torch is travelling by water from Torbay to Weymouth. It is being handed to different sailing clubs for each leg of the journey.

It will arrive in the Exe on Saturday 2nd June and will go first to Starcross Sailing Club and then on Sunday 3rd June to Topsham Sailing Club. It will arrive at Lympstone Sailing Club on Monday 4th June on the morning tide around 8am.and will be in Lympstone for the day, departing down river with a supporting flotilla on the evening tide (around 1830h) to Exe Sailing Club who will take it on the next leg of the journey.

The torch may be brought to events in Lympstone during the day on Monday 4th June.
