Police report

Between 4pm on the 22nd May and 11am on the 23 May an EDDC parking sign in Underhill carpark was criminally damaged. The sign has now been removed. If anyone has any information, please contact Police quoting KE/11/1379.

A few graffiti tags have recently popped up around the village. A private wall, EDDC Sign and the toilets in Underhill carpark were recently damaged. I am interested to hear if anyone has any information regarding these incidents. The tag is the letters NSR with an underline and star at the end.

Cycle track – I am still receiving complaints and concerns from residents regarding the speed of cyclists through the village and cyclists are failing to stop/give way at the bottom of Station Hill. I have taken forward your concerns to the Highways department with the suggestion of a solid white line at the bottom of the hill and a possible stop sign. Highways have contacted me and advised that the junction there is sufficient for Cyclists to stop and no further work is planned.

I am aware that the Parish Council has also raised safety concerns to Highways. Evidence is needed to support that there is a problem. I would advise that any near misses or incidents are reported in writing to Nigel Frost of Highways. Give a time, date and a brief account or where and what happened. I personally feel that the cycle track is very positive and the council have done a fantastic job creating it, however I do have concerns over safety.

Parking on Station Hill continues to be a problem for garage users. Please can I ask residents/visitors not to park opposite the garages. Tickets for obstruction could be issued in the future if it continues.

Dog fouling in the Glebelands area has again been highlighted. Please clear up after your dog. If you know anyone who is failing to do so, please contact me with details.

And finally… An adult’s bike which is pink in colour has been secured to the bike racks outside the Swan and has not been moved since December. Does anyone know who owns this bike or if it has been abandoned?
