Scenic walks from Avocet Line stations

Scenic walks from Avocet Line stations

A new leaflet has been launched, ‘Avocet Ambles No 3’, which features three walks from stations on the Avocet Line. Included are walks in and around Exeter, the first from Topsham to Exeter Central Station, via the Ship Canal, the second from Digby and Sowton Station to Topsham, and the third from Newcourt Station to Digby and Sowton via Clyst St Mary. The leaflet was produced by the Avocet Line Rail Users Group with the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership.

Trains now run every half hour through most of the day, including Sundays, throughout the year. All trains call at Digby & Sowton, Newcourt, Topsham and Lympstone Village stations.

Avocet Ambles leaflets numbers 1, 2 and 3 can be found on the Avocet Line Rail Users Group website http://www.avocetline.org.uk/

The leaflet is available from stations, tourist information centres, and libraries. Copies can also be obtained by emailing railpart@plymouth.ac.uk
