At the Meeting held on Wednesday 1st June, President Mrs Anne Frampton welcomed the members and reported on those who are unwell, ‘Jerusalem’ was then sung.

The speaker, Mrs Jan Lunn, gave an inspiring talk on ‘Painting on Silk,’ backed up by a step-by-step demonstration via a Powerpoint presentation.

She had brought with her many different samples of her work, including cards, pictures, cushion covers, a tie, and a waistcoat.

Jan then offered to run a workshop here in Lympstone, price to be agreed – several members showed great interest. A vote of thanks was given by Mrs Diana Winterford-Young.

There is to be a litter pick on the 6th June weather permitting.

We were also reminded of the supper on the 13th July – 7 for 7.30pm, members to bring a plate of savoury food. We are having a raffle and a ‘Bring and Buy’ stall.

At the next meeting on the 5th July, our speaker will be Mrs Judy Murray, talking about ‘The Language of Clothes’. Visitors always welcome, contact Mrs A Frampton 276464.
