Wotton Brook levels rise as Storm Angus hits Lympstone

A week ago today, on November 21, Lympstone felt the effects of the first winter storm ‘Angus’.  The Environment Agency issued an ‘amber alert’ for areas in the village prone to flooding,  but Wotton Brook contained the rise in water levels. Long meadow road and roads in the lower village remained clear, but some flooding was reported on Meeting Lane and in the dip on the Nutwell Road.  The pictures below, from the top left, show water levels in Wotton Brook along Longmeadow road, Pretty Corner, the Car Park, and the Bridge on the The Strand.
