A Neighbourhood Plan is a new way in which the local community can influence planning in the area in which they live and work. Lympstone is now in the process of producing its own plan. This page gives the up to date position on The Plan and what we are currently working on. For all documentation and reports from meetings etc go to Neighbourhood Plan Documents page of this web site – Documents Page – this is the archive of the Neighbourhood Plan Documents.
Current work is the production of a “First Draft Plan” – this we hope to complete by the end of March. It will contain the objectives and policies that have evolved from the first round of consultation detailed below. It will form the basis for the next round of consultation with The Community and this time “Stakeholders and Our Neighbours”. “Stakeholders” covers organisations e.g. EDDC, National Trust, Land Owners, Clubs, Societies, Exe Estuary Management Committee, English Nature, English Heritage, The Environment Agency etc all who have an interest in what we are planning/doing. Our Neighbours cover Exmouth Town Council, Brixington and Halsdon Wards, Exton, Woodbury and very importantly CTCRM. An extensive amount of consultation! For this we have to allow 6 weeks. So watch this space for more news.
A Neighbourhood Plan is just that – it is a Development Plan for the Neighbourhood that has been created and bought into by the neighbourhood community – it MUST have input from the community to be valid. YOU can have your say throughout the process by sending your comments to
