Special Neighbourhood Plan Meeting

Monday 18th March 2019

Local Elections 2019

Elections – Local elections 2019 are on Thursday 2nd May.

Current Councillors and any members of the public who wish to stand must apply in person to EDDC by the 3rd April.

The Parish Council are anticipating vacancies, therefore, if you are interested in standing you can either contact the Clerk directly, or contact Jill Humphries, Deputy Returning Officer, EDDC on 01395 517550 for more information and a nomination pack.

Completed nominations will be accepted and must be hand delivered to The Returning Officer at Blackdown House, Border Road, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton, EX14 1EJ from Monday 25th March – Wednesday 3rd April between the hours of 10am – 4pm.

The Councillors were also reminded of ‘PURDAH’, this is the time before an election when all current Councillors are to remain out of public domain so as not to be having an unfair advantage to remain standing. This period starts on the 26th March and ends on 2nd May. For more information on PURDAH - what you should and shouldn't do - see the Local Government Association website here
