The Hide at Ebford

The Hide is a spacious, self-catering studio which forms part of Ebford Cottage, a 17th Century thatched house situated in the hamlet of Ebford, just 2 miles from Topsham. The cottage once belonged to the Hewitt family who owned and managed a local horse riding school. Captain James Hewitt and Princess Diana frequently visited Ebford Cottage (then called The Shieling).

The Hide can sleep two adults and has space for a travel cot or child’s bed. It is a relaxing, self-contained room for a couple or young family to enjoy during their stay in Devon.

The accommodation is close to the outstanding natural beauty of the River Exe. Visitors and nature lovers are a short distance from the RSPB reserve at Bowling Green Marsh and the RSPB centre at Darts Farm.

Just 2 minutes away is the picturesque village of Lympstone, near to the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre (CTCRM). 5 minutes away lies Exmouth, within easy reach of plentiful beaches and watersports.

Wine lovers can enjoy the nearby vineyards of the Pebblebed winery.

Whether you are looking for a short break or relaxing week, we look forward to welcoming you.
