Dear All

A la Ronde Conservation Management Plan

I am writing to you to introduce an exciting project that is being undertaken at A la Ronde.  We have recently appointed a firm of specialist consultants, Forum Heritage Services, who specialize in the production of management plans for the historic environment.  They are focusing on the significance of the building and how this may have changed and been influenced by key figures within the property’s history.  They are particularly keen to gain a deeper understanding of why changes occurred over time and what were the drivers for this change.

As a key organisation which has taken a keen interest in the history of this very special place James Webb, Director of Forum Heritage Services is keen to hear your views about the house and its contents in the context of changes over time.

The consultants and the National Trust are holding an open day on 28th June 2012 to which representatives of your group are invited to come along and tell us about how important A la Ronde is to you and your organisation and share ideas as to how the building and collection might be managed in the future to ensure that the significance of the building is maintained for you and your organisation.

Your input to this project would be greatly valued and could shape and inform future management of the house and its grounds.

If you are unable to come on the 28 June but would still like to contribute, please contact the property office.

Yours sincerely

Salli Carr-Griffin
Assistant Property Manager, A la Ronde
