Lympstone Harbour Annual Craning of Boats – Saturday 6th April
The first of the biannual craning of boats between shore and water takes place between 7am and midday on Saturday 6th April 2019, weather permitting.
As this is a potentially hazardous operation, all public access to the Harbour will be denied during this time. For more information browse www.lympstoneharbour.org.uk
A large crane will be arriving on Friday evening and departing midday on Saturday., so those who park along its route along Burgmann’s Hill, The Strand and the route to the Harbour by the Swan Inn are asked for their cooperation in allowing it clear passage.
It proves to be an exciting moment for owners and onlookers alike. Whilst access to the Harbour will be closed during craning operations, onlookers may view from the top of the slipway or from the beach north of Peter’s Tower.
