Art Group Talk: Naomi Hart ‘Drawing Water’

A slight change to information published in last month’s Herald. Naomi Hart’s talk will be on Wednesday 9th March at 7.30pm in the Community Room (formerly the Function room) at the Village Hall. It will be on ‘Drawing Water: Tales of hope and survival from Topsham to Terror Bay‘.

Naomi states water is physically and symbolically vital: it nourishes us, carries our stories and connects us with the wider world. It anchors us and gives us a sense of place, yet it is constantly moving and changing. Water is often seen as a symbol of purity and cleanliness, even though it is also used as a dumping ground for rubbish and pollution; but in ecological terms water sustains plant, bird and animal life from microscopic algae to whales and dolphins. What can we learn about water from art, science and history to look to the future with hope?

7.30pm in the Function Room in Lympstone Village Hall.
These are free to members and £3 for guests. All are welcome.
