EXETER FLASH MOB FREE rehearsals

June 8, 2011 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Calling all comedy dance lovers! Exeter’s first ever flash mob is being organised by Vibes Dance Company as part of their event ‘Dancing in the streets’. Akin to the ever televised T Mobile adverts, a flash mob is a mass crowd spontaneous piece of dance performed usually in public places, in the midst of unsuspecting shoppers and commuters!

This year it promises to be a lot of fun, as Vibes are adding a comedy element- requesting people to come along dressed up as Grannies and Grandads- from anything as small as hair rollers, flat caps to full costume- performing a simple comical routine to MC Hammer’s ‘Can’t Touch This’.

Instructional videos to learn the dance and a demo of the dance in Granny costume can be found on You Tube- links below- and there will also be FREE rehearsals being held at Maynards School on Monday 6th June 8 – 9pm and St Peter’s School on Wednesday 8 – 9pm.

If you can’t make the rehearsals, you can learn the dance from the videos and simply turn up on the day and join in as and when you want to! The performance is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday 11 June, in Princesshay Square. For more information, email Mandi at mandi@vibesdancecompany.co.uk or see our website www.vibesdancecompany.co.uk
