CLASSES: Vegetables, fruits, flowers, flower arranging, pot plants, handicrafts, preserves, baking drinks, photography, creative writing, go green, organic etc.
Copies of the schedule are available in the village shop. It makes exciting reading with many new classes for all those who are keen to show what they have grown, nurtured, created, baked, preserved and brewed. There are useful instructions on how to show vegetables and fruit so do note the specific requirements. For the first time there is a men only class in the home cooking section. New too is the vegetable cake, the gluten free fruit crumble and the Bara Brith.
The show is a great opportunity for children to create all sorts of things.
There are 17 different classes for children up to 5 yrs, 5-7, 8-12 and all under 16s. Plenty for the imagination to flow.
Special mention must be made of the beautiful quilt made by Pat Boaden which will be displayed in the hall. It is a work of great detail made with love over many, many hours. A treasure for the garden club which will be kept in the village archive. The show is also a welcome opportunity for people to sit down and chat whilst enjoying tea and home made cakes after viewing the displays filling the hall.
