June’s Wildlife Wellbeing Walk
Our next Wildlife Wellbeing Walk is a ‘roll n stroll’ on the village front meadow. This will be from 10.30am on Saturday 27th June. Please see the poster below for full details and email us at wildaboutlympstone@gmail.com to book your slot.
We are meeting at 10.30am in the meadow opposite the church. The beautiful veteran oak tree will give us shade if it’s hot! There should be plenty of nature to see, hear and share as we wander along the paths, and there will be refreshments in the church afterwards.
Bug hotel construction.
We have received permission from the Parish Council to put up a bug hotel in the village front meadow. We will be doing this after the walk. You are welcome to help if you would like. We are using pallets as a framework, and we will be filming the spaces with corrugated cardboard, newspaper, pine cones, dry plant stems, local wood (twigs and small branches) and natural materials to provide places for small mammals, frogs, reptiles, and insects to hide out. Perhaps you’d like to bring along something to add?
