The Importance of Being Ernest

The Pantaloons come to Ellenthorpe for the first time, in the same woodland garden as The Comedy of Errors earlier this month..

This critically acclaimed open-air company, who have been touring Britain for the past 20 years, will be performing another classic comedy, Oscar Wilde’s THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, one of the best-loved plays ever written.

While Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors is toying with identical twins, Wilde is playing with fictitious names. Everybody loves Ernest. In fact, Cecily and Gwendolen are both engaged to Ernest. The only trouble is, he doesn’t exist. Don’t forget your handbag. Or your cucumber sandwiches.

THE COMEDY OF ERRORS Sunday, 7th July
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST Saturday, 27th July
Ellenthorpe Garden, Underhill entrance (open at 5pm for picnics, performances start at 6pm)

SPECIAL OFFER: Tickets for each play cost £15 each. But if you’d like to see them both (and why wouldn’t you?), you can buy a joint ticket for just £20! DON’T MISS THIS INCREDIBLE BARGAIN!
All tickets are available from Susannah’s Tea Room, or online from lympstone-entertainments.net
