The Secret Life of Carols with ‘The Telling’

November 29, 2019 @ 6:45 pm - 10:00 pm

CHRISTMAS STARTS HERE – Friday 29th November, 7.30pm
Here is a magical way to spend a winter’s evening. Christmas in Lympstone begins at the end of November, with a candlelit concert of English mediaeval carols, wonderfully sung by The Telling, the group who enchanted us with the music of Hildegard of Bingen earlier in the year. These uplifting and intimate seasonal songs will be mixed with lesser-known traditional carols from around Europe, as well as some old favourites such as Stille Nacht, the Coventry Carol (Lullay Lullay), and the Salutation Carol.

Singers Clare Norburn and Ariane Prüssner will be accompanied on mediaeval harps and percussion, as they introduce us to some of the most beautiful carols you will ever hear. Make a note in your diary of the evening of Friday, 29th November in Lympstone Parish Church for a very special prelude to this year’s Christmas celebrations. Spiced mulled wine and fruit cup will be served, along with mince pies and stollen; all included in the ticket price of £12.50.

Performance starts 7.30pm, doors 6.45pm ticket holders, 7pm others.

Tickets are already on sale from Demelza on 272243 and from boxoffice@lympstone-entertainments.net
