Art Show Judging; and the winners are…

Ray Balkwill, the well know painter and writer, was our judge this year and he prised the exhibition for its high quality and range of work. He made the following Awards:

Winner of the Norman de la Rue Prize was Sue Paterson with,”Sheltered Boats. Lympstone” with Highly recommended going to Sheila Stone for “Window” a coloured etching and Gail McKenzie for her lino cut “Curlew 1” . The winner of the Pat Ferguson Memorial Award for the Best Abstract went to Karen Mitchell for “Morocco” a monoprint. the alison Ledley-Brown Award for best overall in Show went to Linda Hampson for her picture “Pansies” in coloured pencils and Highly commended went to Sylvia Johnston, for her painting “Reflections” in Mixed Media and to Louise Banks for her oil painting, “What the Children Found”.
The prize for The Best 3D Exhibit went to Rob Longhurst for his large bowl platter in black and gold and Highly Commended went to Mai Target for her Curlew in wire and Angie Harlock-Wilkinson for her bronze , “Young Dancer Curtseying”
