Avocet 150 celebrations

Avocet 150 celebrations

Lympstone will be playing a full part in the celebrations this Spring to mark the 150th anniversary of the Exeter to Exmouth railway.  A programme of events during April and May will be unveiled at a public meeting in Exmouth Council Chamber at 7pm on Monday 14th February.  It has been put together by the Avocet 150 Steering Group, representing community organisations along the line and set up by ALRUG, the rail users group.  There will be something for everyone to enjoy, including exhibitions, theatre, films, talks, guided walks, two beer festivals and a ceilidh.  Several of the events will be in Lympstone.

A programme leaflet with the details of all events will be distributed door to door – any volunteers willing to help please call me on 01395 268653.
