BURGLARIES IN LYMPSTONE

BURGLARIES IN LYMPSTONE

We have had a number of burglaries reported to the police in the area of Gibraltar and Trafalgar road in Lympstone since the 27th September.  So far we have had seven burglaries reported with a number of properties visited by the offender on more than one occasion.  Police are working very hard to locate this offender and are working with the community and the Commando Training centre to offer support and reassurance to residents.

A few security tips :

Please ensure that your windows and doors are locked at all times, even if you are just in the garden, and remove the keys from the door. (keep them in an area nearby for access)

Be aware of any changes in your surroundings, has anything been moved? A gate left open, a hole in the hedge etc.

If you hear a noise in the night and are in fear for your safety, dial 999. We are 24 hour policing and based in Exmouth

Please be extremely vigilant at this time.  If you see any person or vehicle acting suspiciously in the area, contact Police immediately.  If it is safe to do so try and take a note of what the person looks like or the vehicle details.

If you have any information which could assist Police, please contact us on the details below quoting KE/13/2282.

Please remember that Lympstone is a low crime rate area and these types of incidences are rare.  Residents are understandably concerned at this time, but please be assured that Officers are regularly patrolling the area day and night.

Parking in Highcliffe:

I have received a number of complaints regarding the parking in Highcliffe Road.  Please remember it is an offence to park on the pavement, around junctions and to obstruct resident properties and a ticket could be issued.  I will be monitoring this area over the next few weeks.
