New Team Vicar

It is three years since I reported the decision of Rev John Clapham to resign from the post of Rector of Lympstone. In September 2009 we welcomed Rev, now Canon Ian Morter who was promoted to the Exeter Cathedral and recently we have been working in the team ministry with our friends from Holy Trinity Exmouth and the Littleham parish to arrange interviews for his replacement. Interviews took place last month, but no appointment was made. We hope to try again in June and we continue to pray for, and look forward to welcoming, the new team Rector in due course.

APCM

The church held its annual meeting last month and re-elected Mary Blair and Andrew Hubbard as churchwardens. John Lupton continues as treasurer and the new PCC will elect a secretary at their first meeting. The meeting decided to increase the amount of our income we give to Christian charities to 7.5% as we work towards being in line with the 10% for the Mission Community. This giving will amount to about £3,000 in the coming year.

This is your chance to post a letter to Santa and receive a reply - what are you waiting for? ... See MoreSee Less
