In the Autumn we took Connie to Scotland for a week to the only centre in Europe that specialises in working with children pre and post SDR. On the first day Connie couldn’t take any independent steps. On the last day she took 10. We are now using the strength and conditioning programme that they have given us as well as her physio programme, and focussing on balance and control for independent walking. We hope to take her back again twice in 2014. Connie isn’t using a walking frame any more (admittedly we did leave it in Scotland accidentally…) and instead is walking with two sticks – a giant leap forward. Thank you so much everyone for your support.
