Cycle path incidents

I have been told of several near misses between cyclists pedestrians and cars over the Christmas period. There is some concern about the safety risks caused by the number of cyclists travelling through the village streets between Sowden End and Station Hill. Often cyclists are travelling too fast around blind corners or children are all over the road.

In order to be able to monitor the situation and to make a case for greater safety measures, or re- routing the cycle track to continue along the railway line as originally proposed, we need to ensure that all dangerous incidents are recorded.

A book is kept in the Post Office for people to log any incidents which they have witnessed. Please also email cycle@lympstone.org or click on the Cycle path link on this website.
