Festive Walking Trail this December

Festive Walking Trail this December

Remember to follow the Festive Walking Trail through the village this December

Huge thanks to everyone who has volunteered to help light up Lympstone by decorating an advent window during December!

The evenings may be dark but Lympstone promises to be bright and cheerful as you follow the Festive walking Trail around the village.

Advent Window Trail Maps to help you find the windows being ‘opened’ each day are available to collect from outside at the following locations from mid November:

  • Hillcrest, Greenhill Avenue
  • Merryfield, Longmeadow Road
  • Doorway at Lympstone Parish Church
  • Porch at Lympstone Village Hall
  • plus in-store at Central Stores, The Strand.

The map is also available as a 2-sided pdf to download HERE.

The final advent windows will be opened at the village hall on Christmas Eve and a one-way system will be set up and signposted to allow everyone to view the windows safely while maintaining social distancing.

If covid-19 regulations allow, we also hope to serve some free refreshments from 4pm while enjoying carols sung by the local primary schoolchildren.

Please note the information given on the map about car parking and toilet facilities at the village hall and look out for more information in the Herald next month and on posters around the village from mid December.
