66th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show
With our English summer apparently in full swing, thoughts are turning to the Garden Club’s Annual Show which this year will take place on Saturday 18th August. Show schedules are now available from the Post Office, Londis, the café, and the pubs, and the very wide range of classes ensures there is something of interest for everyone. It is the enthusiastic support of so many villagers which always makes this event such a success!
Even if you are unable to be an exhibitor yourself, we can promise you a delightful afternoon in the Village Hall. Doors will open at 2 pm and a wonderful sight will greet you as you walk in. On display will be hundreds of home-grown flowers and vegetables, as well as home-made produce, handicrafts, photos, art work and flower arrangements. Prizes will be presented at 4 pm by the Rev. Geoffrey Wrayford.
Do also make time to enjoy the wonderful refreshments in the Function Room and to make a purchase from the produce stall. Proceeds from the latter will go to Village Hall Fund Raising. This really is a good afternoon out for the whole family, so please come along and enjoy yourself!
