The number of entries for the eleven categories of the Lympstone Garden Club’s 70th Annual Show exceeded all expectations. As the weather stayed dry for the show, hundreds of visitors poured in and enjoyed an excellent display of fruit, vegetables, flowers, home cooking, and arts and crafts in the Village Hall. The Chairman of the Garden Club, Pat Squire, was delighted with the success of the event, and was quick to praise the Committee, Judges, Stewards and the many volunteers who contributed to the event.  Dozens of superb teas were served by LGC volunteers in a packed hall. Congratulations to all competition cup-winers in each of the categories, the list is published here. The Lympstone Band performed brilliantly to large crowds; You can watch their moving performance of ‘I vow to thee my country’ below.
